SEALED BIDS FOR A REPLACEMENT ELEVATOR, will be received by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Port Jefferson Fire District, 115 Maple Place, Port Jefferson, New York 11777, until 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at which time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on site at the Maple Place Fire Station at 10am on Friday, February 8, 2019. Bid documents will be available from, 8:30 AM, Monday, February 4, 2019 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from Atlantic Blueprint located at 1070 Old Northern Boulevard, Roslyn, NY, 11576; Tel: 516.484.3888 (the Printer) in either electronic or paper format. Bidders will be able to access the project online at the Printer’s web site: www.atlanticblueprint.com

Each bidder must deposit with his bid, a certified check of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid or bid bond with a Bonding Company licensed to do business in the State of New York, in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Such bond or check shall be made payable to the “Port Jefferson Fire District”, and the amount thereof shall be the measure of liquidated damages which the District will sustain by the failure, neglect or refusal of the bidder to execute and deliver the contract, should the contract be awarded to him

The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid items or combinations of bid items which they deem most favorable to the interest of the District.

The District will not accept bids from, nor award a Contract to, anyone who cannot prove to the satisfaction of the Board of Commissioners of the District that he has had sufficient experience in this type of work and is financially able and organized to successfully carry out the work covered by the Specifications in the required time.

Bids shall be addressed to the Board of Commissioners, shall be received at the Board Room of the Maple Place Fire Station and marked “ELEVATOR REPLACEMENT
